Dental health principles to live by:
- Rinse your mouth after every meal/snack.
- Brush for 2 minutes before your first meal.
- Brush for 2 minutes after your last meal.
How to brush:
- Brush the top/bottom of the molars (the side facing the other set of teeth) religiously.
- Brush all the teeth from the inside.
- Brush the outside last.
- Brush the gums gently if you can.
Tips:
- Avoid alcohol based mouthwashes
- Hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes (medicinal 1% hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes) once a month will help kill existing bacterial growth, if any.
- Never use hydrogen peroxide mouthwash more than once every 30 days. It kills beneficial bacteria.
